Back Bending rarely occurs in our every day movements. We are usually upright or bent forward. Our work has generally become more sedentary and involves a great deal of bending forward, pulled further by gravity, making our posture slumped and heavy. When we take our spines backwards we find we have a great capacity to do so and the. benefits are resounding. Backbends bring spinal muscle elasticity, they decompress vertebrae and open the chest.
